Summary Draft 1

According to Patrick Lecomte(2019), a more intelligent approach to building and having a proper framework to mitigate risks in which cyber-security is compromised. The article states that a "smart building should have common standards and metrics similar" to green buildings.

In the current context, there are not any official international standards for intelligent building. Therefore, developers can only rely on the "Honeywell Smart Building Score (HSBS)" as they are one of the well-known corporate indicators in this field. In comparison, others would self-implement a framework that caters to their occupant's needs.

The importance of cyber-security in an intelligent building should be considered a factor of the framework, as there have been numerous breaches in recent years. In which ANREV (2013), hackers gained access to client information through building maintenance operators. Therefore, the metrics should define the criteria for making a building more intelligent instead of meeting the vendor's requirements.
